In God's Tent of Meeting
God's desire is for His people to desire Him to live with them. We are His creation lost but through our own selfish desires. He did everything so we can walk closer with Him as we travel in this challenging journey of life. However, our journey long and weary, are often lost in the sea clouds of pride and doubts simply because we often forget that He is our guiding light. Pride, doubts, and selfish desires are natural tendencies of life as long us our feet walks on this earthly ground. His call is loud, His instructions are clear, His vision is bright, his missions are so rewarding. But our ears often listens to a different sound, our eyes are often blinded by things that glitters around, then allowing ourselves getting imprisoned by our selfish desires for recognition by our peers and those around us for having these material ornaments of life.
God also desires for the finest ornaments for His glory. These are ornaments of the finest work and sacred offerings displayed in his tent of worship coming from unselfish hearts. God has privileged us to build this church (Christ Cornerstone Koinonia) and to journey with Him. As people of God, He demands from us the finest materials of ourselves as sacred offerings, the very same thing He asked of the people of Israel in building his tabernacle in the book of Exodus 25:1-9. He desires from us the offering of service and worship with unselfish hearts, so that His desire to live among us will be ours.
Lord, I pray, that all selfishness in my hearts removed as I worship you today. To God be the glory!
